Thelma Marshall Overby, 94, of Roanoke, formerly of Richmond, died Wednesday, October 20, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Overby. She
taught in the Henrico County School System for 20 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, B. Michael and Marshall O. Herman of Roanoke; grandchildren, Ashby Lee Herman of Richmond, and Marshall Michelle Herman of Virginia Tech; a brother, Noble Marshall of Roanoke. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 1999 in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone, Va. The Rev. Thomas Collins will officiate. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
