A memorial service was held yesterday at St Luke's Episcopal Church in Bladensburg for Phillips Lee Goldsborough II, 80, of Cheverly who died of heart failure Friday at Prince George s County hospital. He
had heart disease for about five years.

Mr Goldsborough was born in Princess Anne, and graduated from St John's College in 1925.

He was an accountant for the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co in Washington,D.C. until retiring in 1956 after 33 years with the company.

He was a captain in the Maryland National Guard and was active in the Democratic party in Prince George's County, serving as an election judge in his community.

The widower of the former Anna Lee Fitzhugh Worthington who died in 1978.

He is survived by a son Martin W of Annapolis two daughters: Margaret R Perry of Washington D.C. and Virginia Rousculp of Frederick and six grandchildren.
