Clewey B. Blackburn
Clewey B. Blackburn died at his Pontiac, Mich., home Sunday, July 6, of a heart ailment. He was 44.
Born May 23, 1908, in Bedford County, he was the son of William F. Blackburn and the former Ida Jane Nunamaker. Both parents are deceased.
He leaves one son, Robert E. Blackburn, stationed in Alaska with the U.S. Army. Four brothers and four sisters also survive. They are: Harry and Robert, Johnstown; Clair, Alum Bank, and James of East Freedom; Mrs. Richard Gibson, Alum Bank; Mrs. Effie Jardine, Fontana, California; Mrs. Cleo Davis, Johnstown, and Mrs. Ruth Evans, also of Johnstown.
Mr. Blackburn was a member of the E.U.B. Church.
Funeral services: Thursday, July 10, at 2:30 p.m. at the E.U.B. Church, Pleasantville, with Rev. C.W. Wion, officiating. Burial will be in the Fishertown Cemetery.
Friends will be recieved at the Blackburn Funeral Home after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, until 1:30 Thursday, when the body will be taken to the church.
