Jan 11, 1900 Atkinson Plain Dealer OBITUARY
Died of consumption, at her home near Inez, in this county, at the hour of noon, Thursday, Jan 4, 1900, Mrs. Mary Adams, wife of John Q. Adams.
The subject of this sketch was born at Ashtabuly, Ohio, June 9, 1848, was therefore in her 52nd year. She lived with her parents there for a time after which they removed to Monroe County, Wisconsin, where she was married. Five years ago she found peace with her soul by faith in a risen Savior and has since lived a devoted Christian life. She united with the Church of God at Sunnyside, in Sept 1898. She suffered much during the last year of her life, especially during the last few months. She bore it all, however, with the greatest of patience and fortitude saying at the last she was glad to go home to her Heavenly Father where there was no more suffering. The funeral services were conducted at the residence by T A Moss and Clause early Friday morning. She was laid to rest in Atkinson cemetery that afternoon. She leaves one son, B B Adams of Atkinson and daughter, Mrs. Inez E. Manring of Missouri, who was with her at the time of her death, besides her husband to mourn her loss.
