John Calvin LaRue, 80, of Cordova, TN, born March 5, 1931 in Bassett, AR, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in Cordova, TN.

He was retired from Malone and Hyde.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Thomas LaRue and Lillian (Williams) LaRue; his son, Joe LaRue and four brothers, L.E. LaRue, Eugene LaRue, Tom LaRue and Jack LaRue.

Mr. LaRue is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Elizabeth (Ryals) LaRue of Cordova, TN; two daughters, Terry Miller (Matt) and Lea Caraway (Terry) both of Cordova, TN; his sister, Dianne LaRue of Bassett, AR; seven grandchildren, Joshua Simpson, Jaime Copeland (Jeff), Lauren Rogers (Danner), Justin LaRue, Nicole Caraway, Anna Caraway and Allison LaRue and four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Madison and Luke Copeland and Rowan O'Daniels.

The visitation will be Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Bethany Christian Church in Eads, TN.

The service will follow at 3:00 P.M. and interment will follow the service in Old Bethany Cemetery.
