Mrs Emma Hall died at the Bethesda Home at Chisago City Tuesday morning July 3, complications of old age being the result of her death. Services were held at the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church at Center City Friday afternoon at 2 pm with Rev J Walton Kempe Pastor officiating. Serving as pallbearers were 6 grandchildren, Quinton Hall, Glendon Berglund, Kenneth Berglund, Marlyn Abrahamson, Ronald Abrahamson and Jerome Hall. Interment was made at the Chisago Lake Cemetary. Mrs Edmund Jonason was a soloist being accompanied by organist Miss Agda Wennerberg.
Born in Franconia Twsp February 15, 1865, Mrs Hall was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Jonas Johnson, early settlers of the community, she attended the schools of the community. She was married to Loth Hall January 6, 1886. To this union 11 children were born, 8 of whom yet survive. Mr Hall preceded her in death in 1946. The survivors are 4 daughters and 4 sons, namely Mrs Mabel Pederson of Mpls, Mrs Walter Hanson, Mrs Oscar Berglund, Mrs John Abrahamson, Henry, Walter, Wilhelm and Raymond Hall. The deceased also leaves 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and also one sister, Mrs Gustava Johnson, Calumet, MN and one brother Charles Johnson of Center City and a large number of relatives and friends. Mrs. Hall has made her home at the Bethesda Home since the death of Mr Hall. She was widely known in the Center City congregation where she had been a member all of her life.
