Born October 31, 1926, he was the son of the late J. Emery and Alma J. (Smeal) Daub. On October 31, 1959, he married the former Margaret P. Passmore, who survives at home.
Mr. Daub was a 1945 graduate of Clearfield High School. He retired from Harbison Walker Refractories Machine Shop on July 31, 1983 after thirty six years of service. Subsequent to that, he was employed at Dobson's Auto Wash, Curwensville, PA.
Mr. Daubs was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church, where he served as chairman of the Board of trustees. He was a life member of Third Ward Hose Co., and a member of the Quad County Amateur Radio Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jeffrey (Doreen) Shaffer, of Grampian, PA., and a son, Duane R. Daub and his wife Barbara, of Harrisburg, PA., four grandchildren: Michael R. Shaffer, Erik J. Shaffer, Lauren I. Daub, and Ryan E. Daub, one Brother, Harold L. Daub and his wife Mildred, of Bellfonte, PA., and two sisters, Janet L. Coudriet and her husband Irvin, of Cleafield, and Ruth Margaret "Peggy" Stewart and her husband Jimmie, of Richardson, TX.
Mr. Daub was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to West Side United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 317 Nichols St., Clearfield, PA 16830 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
