Lawrence E. Schultz, 70, formerly of the Stanley-Thorp area, died this morning (Friday) in Chicago.
He was born Sept. 17, 1912 in Stanley, the son of Anna and Hans Schultz. Lawrence graduated from Stanley High School and married Marcella Haas May 7, 1938 at Thorp. They lived in the Town of Worden until moving to Chicago in 1951. Following the death of his wife in 1976, Lawrence returned to the Stanley-Thorp area. He had resided in Chicago the past year.
Surviving are two sons, Duane and Marvin of Chicago; two daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Frank) Jenkover of Darien, Ill. and Sandra (Mrs. Richard) Glin of Roselle, Ill.; one sister, Mildred (Mrs. Chet) Roytek of Stanley; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father Jeremiah Cashman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, both in Stanley.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday morning at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, where a parish vigil will be held 4 p.m. Sunday.
