Obituary, Edmund Aspegren
Edmund Conrad Aspegren, son of Gust and Anna Aspegren, was born Jan. 15, 1876, in Osco, Ill. He passed away Jan. 10, 1968, at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 26 days.
He came to Saronville with his parents in 1876 and was married to Hilma Peterson May 12, 1902. To this union three sons and a daughter were born.
He and his wife lived on the farm until 1947, when they moved to Saronville. He spent the last four years at Rest Haven in Harvard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilma, an infant son and daughter, three grandsons and a brother, Albert.
He is survived by two sons, Melvin of Saronville and Burdette of Sutton; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Saronville Methodist Church Friday afternoon, Jan. 12, with Rev. E. E. Harms in charge. Lorraine Aspegren and Ernest Snell, accompanied by Mrs. Lorraine Aspegren, furnished the music. Pall bearers were Burnell Aspegren, Arnold Aspegren, Percy Aspegren, Herbert Aspegren, Elner Erickson and Harold Hohnstein. Interment was in the Saronville Methodist Cemetery.
