Paul is survived by three sons: Dan (Sue) Doyle of Mendota, IL; Mike (Beth) Doyle of Batesville, IN; and Jeff (Julie) Doyle of Mason City, IL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 15, 2006.
Paul attended the University of Oklahoma and was a proud and decorated World War II Veteran. After the war he founded Indian Point Limestone Products, Doyle Farms and Doyle Construction Company with his father and brothers.
Paul was committed to Mason City. He served many years on the boards of the School Corporation, Park Board and the Mason City National Bank. In addition he gave time and effort to many other community activities.
Paul was an avid sports fan and a lifelong Cubs fan. He especially enjoyed participating in and watching the sports activities of his sons and grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing and golf with friends and family. He traveled the world with his wife through being a successful farmer.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Mason City United Methodist Church. Pastor Stephen King will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service beginning at 9:00am. Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the church or to the Mason City Public Library.
