FLEMING, Gerald Wellington age 75 of Canning, Nova Scotia passed away Monday, July 25, 2011, in The Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, Nova Scotia. Born in Winchester, Ontario, he was the son of the late James and Edna (Jennings) Fleming. He served as a radio operator with the Signal Corps in the Canadian Army and also served as a peacekeeper. He retired as a truck driver, and enjoyed going for coffee with his friends. He is survived by his wife Heather (Harvey), three sons: Randy (Karen) of Prescott, Ontario, Keven (Susan) of, Lakeville, and Jeff (Shelley) of Edmonton, step son Chris (Natasha) of Kentville, sister Patricia, 17 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his second wife Helen, a daughter Beverley, two brothers Robert and Ernest. Cremation has taken place at the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Kentville. Graveside Funeral Service will be held in Prescott Ont., on August 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Sandy Hill Cemetery. Donations in memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Mackay Funeral Home, Prescott.
