GREENVILLE—Wardie Bishop Alford of 301 Beechwood Ave., Eastover, died Tuesday in an Oteen, N.C., hospital
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in New Market United Methodist Church Cemetery at Hartsville.
Mr. Alford was born in Marion, a son of William Edward and Mrs. Rebecca Whaley Alford. He formerly lived in Columbia and Charleston.
He was a retired furniture dealer and interior designer. He was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church and James F. Daniel Post 3, American Legion. He was past commander of Palmetto Post 112, in Charleston. He was a Navy veteran of World War I.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred N. McDonald of Greenville and Mrs. Ragnar E. Johnson of Houston, Tex., and 10 grandchildren.
