FORT VALLEY - Jean Lawhorn Palmer, 79, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 11A.M. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Robert Bradshaw and Rev. R. D. Michael officiating.

Born in Thomasville to the late Robert W. and Alma Prichard Lawhorn, Mrs. Palmer had been a Peach County school bus driver and church secretary at Chamlee Memorial Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include children, Rev. Robert Bradshaw of Fort Valley, Lisa and Freddy Vela of Fort Valley and Mike and Nancy Peacock of Butler; grandchildren, Matthew J. and Suzanne Bradshaw of Perry, Ralph Douglas and Christi Stewart of Perry, Tyler Winston Pearce of Fort Valley, Jennifer Pike of Fort Valley, Brian and Becky Shelley of Byron, Tina Shea Bradshaw of Macon, Jason and Brenda Bradshaw of Savannah, Jeremy Bradshaw of Warner Robins, Heather Bradshaw and Jakario Gray of Fort Valley, Kenny and Patricia Jones of Byron, Natalie and Josh Roberts of Fort Valley, Kelly Hamlin of Fort Valley, Stephanie Amerson of Fort Valley, Jonathan and Cheryl Quick of Perry, Chad and Linda Peacock of Butler and June and Robert Lawson of Butler; 30 great-grandchildren; sister, Zadie and Joe Reagin of Fort Valley; brother, Richard and Linda Lawhorn of Fort Valley; daughters-in-law, Judy Bradshaw and Jeanette Bradshaw, both of Fort Valley; sisters-in-law, Gloria Lawhorn of Winter Haven, Florida and Lois Lawhorn of Perry, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sons, Tommy Bradshaw and James Bradshaw.
