FINE – Mrs. Fallie Mae Shown Fine, 62, of 1845 Pope Road, died Monday, January 6, 1997, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Fine was born April 24, 1934, in Thomasville, NC, the daughter of Jehu Bartley and Emma Durie Shown. She was a charter member of Bible Wesleyan Church, was nursery coordinator for many years, a member of the Wesleyan Women's Organization and enjoyed attending church as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Lions Club, enjoyed cross-stitch and photography, and loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Fine was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Lewis Fine, in 1984; a son, Charles Anthony Fine, in 1963; and a daughter, Theresa Fine Jones, in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Fine and wife Irene, of Winston-Salem, and Kenneth Fine of Salisbury, NC; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Chandler of Kernersville, Edna Clark of Winston-Salem; and one brother, Walter Shown of Maryland. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 1997, at 11 a.m. at Bible Wesleyan Church by Rev. Charles Collins. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory, Clemmons. The family will receive friends at Vogler and Sons Main Street Chapel, Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choide. Vogler and Sons Main Street Chapel is in charge of the Fine arrangements.
