Obituary

Francis Marion Price, eldest son of James and Elizabeth Price was born near Butlerville, Ind., March 8th, 1852, and departed this life July 31st, 1922, being 70 years, 4 months and 23 days of age. On July 25th 1877 he was united in marriage to Martha Ann Jones, daughter of Jason and Elizabeth Jones. To this union were born nine children three sons and six daughters. After 18 years this union was broken the mother being called to her reward leaving him the duties of both mother and father which place he faithfully filled. On October 22nd 1898 he was united in marriage to Mary Etta Pool, daughter of William and Sarah J. Pool. He survived by the widow and seven children, Mrs. Oliver Harlan, Greensburg; Mrs. Harry Richey, Mrs. Gus Ellerman, Mrs. Jasper Linville, and Mrs. Clay Manship, Shelbyville; James O. Price, Hamilton, Ohio, and Frank A. Price, Williamsburg, Ohio. Also by four sisters, Mrs. Martha Denton, Butlerville, Mrs. Low Shumaker and Mrs. Belle Kuntz, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Mary Phares, Cleveland, Ohio, and four brothers, Fred, Hiram and Zachriah, of Indianapolis, and George, of Kansas, besides a host of friends and relatives.
