She was born Lina Frieda Oertel,known as Frieda. She joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints as a young teen against the wishes of her family. She married Rudolf Ernst Siebach in Germany in 1923. They came to the US in the 1920's, settled in New York and raised seven children. She passed away at the age of 59 from a stroke.
