Ida E. McIntire Hainey passed away peaceably in her home after a long illness at 7 P.M. Sunday evening. She was the wife of James L. Hainey and the mother of daughters Gerldean and Wirth.

Ida was born in Iowa on 1 December 1862 and came to Kansas with her father's family. She taught school in Clay County for a number of years. She and J.L. Hainey were married June 7, 1890.

Ida was proceeded in death by her daughter, Gerldean. Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist Church in Green with Revs. Brown and Bear of Green and Rev. Carnahan of Clay Center officiating.

Interment was in Fancy Creek Cemetery, north of Green.
