Mrs. Ade, a 1936 graduate of Huntington High School, attended San Antonio College and Huntington University. She worked in several offices in the Huntington County Courthouse, retiring in 1979 as secretary to the county commissioners.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, past president of American Legion Post 7 Auxiliary, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 Auxiliary and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Huntington to Marvin and Eunice McDowell Klinger. She married William P. Raver on Oct. 11, 1941, in San Antonio, TX. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1994. She married Ervin Ade on March 20, 1997, in Huntington, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2005.

Survivors include two sons, Robert C. (Marie) Raver, of Warsaw, and Richard C. Raver, of Huntington; two stepsons, Bill Ade, of Burke, VA, and Tom Ade, of Fort Wayne; three stepdaughters, Lisa Smith, of Huntington; Jeannie Kelley, of Dayton, OH; and Ellen Brinkman, of Selma; six grandchildren, Melissa Stanton, Annissa Mackendanz, William Raver, Ryan Raver, Kyle Raver and Sean Raver; two great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
