Funeral services for T. W. Edwards, 87, one of the first mail carriers in Alliance, were held Thursday in Torrance, Calif.

Mr. Edwards, who formerly worked in gold mines in Colorado, and later went to Canada, died Tuesday in Torrance. He left Alliance 50 years ago. He was born in Staffordshire, England.

Surviving are two sons, J. R. Edwards of Alliance and T. W. Edwards of Louisville; three stepchildren in California and eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
