"John Burgoyne, a prosperous farmer, died at his home Sunday having been ailing with heart trouble for more than a year, at times being able to be up and about doing light work. He moved here from Virginia about 15 years ago and was well liked as a neighbor and friend. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Cope. He leaves his widow and one brother who but a short time ago moved to Ellsworth."
