His rank was private and he served in Serg't Ladd's Company, Bedel's Regiment out of Haverhill, NH. He also served in Capt Enoch Chase's Company, 2nd New Hampshire Reg't, Commanded by Lieut. George Reid. Some of his records from the National Archives state he served under General Washington.
