Floyd Akers.
__Floyd Akers, 1603 Twelfth ave. SE, a Cedar Rapids resident for 14 years, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home Friday following a brief illness. He was born Oct. 2, 1887, at Brookfield, Mo.
__Surviving are 4 sons, Edward, of Trenton, Mo., Floyd, jr., of Cedar Rapids, Donald of Tucson, Ariz., and the Rev. Harley Akers of Portland, Ore.; 4 daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Moody and Mrs. LeRoy Bell of Cedar Rapids, Miss Doris Akers of Los Angeles and Mrs. Paul Tillman of Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Linnie Boggs of Brookfield, Mo.
__Mr. Akers was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist church.
__Services: Turner chapel at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial: Linwood.
__Friends may call at the chapel after 1 p.m. Sunday.
