George Thorpe Passes In Middleville At Age Of Eighty-Three Years.
George Thorpe, aged 83 years passed away at his home in Middleville, late Wednesday night, following an illness from pneumonia. Arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
Mr. Thorpe came to Sebewa from Jackson when a young man and spent the remainder of his lifetime on a farm in that township until about eight years ago when he retired from active work and moved to Middleville. Besides the widow he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Nettie Glover, of Detroit; Mrs. Minnie Trent of northern Michigan; Melvin Thorpe, of Jackson, and Mrs. Chas. Courtney, of Orange."
