Death certificate states that Ernest is buried at Ruhama Cemetery in NC. It is unknown why there is a marker at Olivet Cemetery. It is oddly placed: it is to the side at the fence post next to the gate instead of in a row with the other markers. There are no other Abernethys, Abernathys or Shaws in this cemetery that I can find.
There is a grave marker for Ernest at Mount Ruhama Baptist Church Cemetery, memorial # 79378339.
If anyone has an explaination, please let me know.

After contacting Olivet, they tell me that the church did not keep actual burial records in 1941. They have no way of knowing who is buried there beyond the markers.
