Keese was managing director of WFAA and WFAA-TV, Dassal. In his youth, he was a violinist and for many years a pit orchestra conductor for the Paramount-Publix Theatres across the country. He helped organize the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and conducted summer concerts for the group. At the time of his death, Keese was treasurer of the board and chairman of the general fund committee of the Radio Advertising Bureau, Inc., and district director of the National Association of Broadcasters.
