William Wesley (Billy) Zumwalt, 89, a long time Tularean, died today in the Sequoia Home.
Zumwalt was born in Lincoln, Neb., and moved to Tulare in 1886 at the age of 7 and the family ranch was the Enterprise School, now a part of the Oak Valley School District. He had worked as a carpenter except for two years when he was employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad. D.B. Zumwalt and Dr. Elmo Zumwalt are cousins.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Etta Black, Sequoia Home and another cousin, Mrs. Jack (Jewell) Hanna, Lake Tahoe.
Services will be held at 2:30PM Wednesday, 5/24/1967, in Goble Funeral Chapel with Wallace Hastings officiating. Burial will be in Tulare Cemetery.
