Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Anna Wheeler Beyer, 60, wife of Fred Beyer, of the Cairo road, were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence, with the Rev. L.L. Spenny officiating. Burial was in the mausoleum at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The pallbearers were: Conrad Beyer, Henry Schmaus, Ed Rikel, Fayette McNeill, George Ragland and Henry Metzler.
Mrs. Beyer was born February 14, 1874 at Quincey, Ill., and moved to McCracken County at an early age. She was married to Mr. Beyer in 1894, to which union nine children were born, three of whom are now deceased. Mrs. Beyer suffered a stroke of apoplexy in 1932 and never fully recovered from its effect, although she was confined to her bed only one day before her death.
Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Miss Susie Beyer, Mrs. Bryan Stewart, Mrs. Ervin Goodman, Mrs. L.D. Vannerson and Mrs. Byrd Rikel; a son, Roosevelt Beyer: three brothers, Louie Wheeler, Herrin, Ill., and Joseph and Charles Wheeler, Racine, Wis., five sisters, Miss Rose Wheeler, Mrs. Mary Konrad, Mrs. Lillie Prins, Mrs. Margaret Henson, and Mrs. Louise Harper, all of Racine. She also is survived by fourteen grandchildren, all of Paducah and McCracken County.
Mrs. Beyer was a member of the St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
