David Hoover Brumbaugh of 703 First Street, Williamsburg, passed away Sunday forenoon, April 20, 1958 at 10:15 O'clock in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lavina Montgomery of Williamsburg.

The deceased was born in Marklesburg, Huntingdon County on July 23, 1869 the son of David and Mary (Hoover) Brumbaugh. He was united in marriage to Miss Lilly Taylor of Huntingdon County, on December 21, 1893, the ceremony being performed at the bride's home. Mrs. Brumbaugh passed away fourteen years ago.

For twenty years after his marriage, Mr. Brumbaugh engaged in farming. Later he worked for five years as a millwright at the west Virginia Pulp & Paper Company in Williamsburg, and followed the occupation of carpenter till his retirement.

Mr. Brumbaugh was a member of the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren. He was educated in the Huntingdon County Schools.

Surviving are the following daughters: Mrs. Helen Harbaugh of Altoona; Mrs. Beatrice Halk of Mapleton Depot; Mrs. Bebecca Riley and Mrs. Lavina Montgomery, both of Williamsburg. Also surviving is a brother, Reuben H. Brumbaugh of Sellersville R.D., eleven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 from the Bechtel funeral home in Williamsburg. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. John D. Ebersole of the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren. Interment will be made in the Union Cemetery of Marklesburg.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday nights between the hours to 7 and 9 o'clock.
