Mrs Hazel R Carter

ALDERSON (RNS) Mrs. Hazel Roe Carter, 68, of Pence Springs died Wednesday at home. She was a member of the Pence Springs Community Church. Survivors: husband, Lonnie T Carter; sons Paul of Portsmouth, Va., Hairy of Dundalk, Md., daughter, Mrs. Ruth Balangee of Eau Gallic, Fla., Mrs. Lola Comer of Alderson: sister, Mrs. Letha Sparks of Columbus, Ohio. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Pence Springs Community Church with the Rev. L. A. Garten officiating. Burial will be in Alderson Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lobban Funeral Home after 5p.m.Mrs Hazel R. Carter, 69, of Pence Springs died about 2 p.m Wednesday at her home of apparent heart attack.

She was a member of the Pences Springs Community Church.

She was born at Zire in Pocahontas County, April 16, 1901, she was a daughter of the late Issac and Rose Fitzgerald Pringle.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Thorton Carter of Pence Springs; two sons, Paul of Portsmount, Virginia and Harry R Carter and wife Alice V Carter of Dundalk, Md; two daughters, Mrs Ruth Ballengee of Eau Gallie, Fla., and Mrs Lola Cliner of Alderson; a sister, Mrs Letha Sparks of Columbus, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The body is at the Lobban Funeral Home at Alderson. Arrangements are incomplete.
