Rodger Wilson, 57, Brookfield, passed away Sunday August 07, 2011 at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday August 10, 2011 at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield with Tom Parks officiating. Burial with Military Honors provided by Bucklin American Legion Green Hill's Post 57 will be in Parklawn Memorial Cemetery, Brookfield . Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm with family receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening August 9, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations have been suggested to the family.
Rodger Bruce, son of Richard A. and Betty Lou Anderson Wilson was born on June 22, 1954 at Brookfield. On September 23, 1973 he was united in marriage to Cathy Serfass at Brookfield.
He had worked for the City of Brookfield Water Department for 23 years and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and David Fuhr, Brookfield; son, Chris Wilson, Brookfield; grandchildren, Madison and Miranda Fuhr, Brookfield; mother, Betty Lou Wilson, Brunswick; four sisters, Barbara and Michael Bloss, Carrolton; Linda and Charles Craft, North Kansas City; Rebecca and J. D. McQueen, Brunswick; Sheila Reed, Brunswick; three brothers, Richard and Marcia Wilson, Bogard; Kevin and Susan Wilson, Bogard; Jeffery and Lori Wilson, Brunswick; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Rodger is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
