Overcome by illness and fatigue while at the bedside of his wife the last few days of her life on earth. Andrew Erickson , nearly 80 years of age, died at his home there late Wednesday, only 1 day after the remains of his departed wife were laid to rest in her grave.

He succumbed shortly after 8:00 Wednesday evening after having been ill only a week and a half.
For two years he had tenderly nursed his invalid wife until overwork and influenza sapped his strength so much that he was confined toned critically ill. Mrs Erickson passed away on Saturday March 21 and only 4 days later he followed her into eternity. The funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Westberg Parlors
at 1:30 pm and at the Chisago Lake Church, Center City at 2:00. Dr AN Nelson oofficiated and solos were sung by Mrs J A Wallin. Six friends of the family who a few days before had escorts the remains of Mrs Erickson to her resting place were pallbearers: Alfred L Jonason, Ralph Johnson, Everett Stromgren, AFL Stromgren, Axel L Carlson and SB wennerberg. Interment was in the Chisago Lake Cemetery.

Andrew Erickson was born Sept 15, 1851 in Orebro, Nerike, Sweden. Her married Ulreka Mathilda Johnson in 1881 and the next year they came to America. Settling at Rush City, he engaged in farming until his retirement elven years ago when they moved Center City.
He was confirmed in Sweden and was later a member of the Lutheran Church at Rush City. After his arrival at Center City he joined the Chisago Lake Church.
He leaves four children, eight grandchildren, an aged sister living in
Sweden, other relatives and many friends. The children are W Erickson, Mpls, Elmer Erickson, Rush City, Mrs R H Moll, La Moure North Dakota and Mrs Geo P Rolig, Center
Among those wo attended the funeral Saturday were: Mrs and Mrs Frank
Nordin, Mrs Clara Westlund and daughter, Mpls, Mr and Mrs R H Moll and
two children, La Moure,North Dakota, Mr and Mrs Elmer Erickson, Rush city and numerous friends from Rush City.
