He was a member of the smaller body of Kansas Yearly Meeting. Only a few days before days before his death, while on a religious visit to that part of the State, the editor of the “Western Friend” appointed meeting for worship at the house of this Friend, on account of his feebleness; he being afflicted with consumption. The tenderness of spirit manifested by tears of love and thankfulness for the occasion, are now remembered, with feelings of comfort, in view of his departure so soon afterwards.
