ELKINS — Michael Ray Braswell, 63, of Elkins died Aug. 5, 2011, at his home.

He was born June 1, 1948, in Oklahoma City to Homer Ray "Tex" and Bobbie Ruth Roberts Braswell. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired from the Navy.

Survivors include two sons, Jacob Braswell and wife Kassie of Elkins and John Braswell and wife Mysti of Mountain View; a daughter, Glora Warmon and husband Scott of Elkins; five brothers, Bobby Jim Braswell of Johnson and George Allen Braswell, Gary Wayne Braswell, Jody Braswell and Donny Braswell, all of Elkins; two sisters, including Barbara Cornelius of Elkins; and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors by the Navy.

There will not be a visitation.

Arrangements are by Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
