He lived with his mother and stepfather in Sanford County AL in 1870, until moving to Sebastian County, AR by 1880. On 23 Nov 1882, he married Sarah Adeline George, who was called Addie. They had three children born in AR, then moved to Okmulgee, OK where three more children were born. One son died in childhood.
E.B. passed away two years after his wife Addie.
