Alderson, Marvin R., the youngest son of Water D. and Minnie (Clucker) Alderson, was born in Wall Lake Township on October 22, 1914. Marvin served in the Army from 1941 – 1945; returning to the farm after the war. In 1947 Marvin married Alice Harrum of Sheyenne, North Dakota. The following year they bought the Homestead and lived there until retiring in 1979.
