Homer Dines was an attorney and senior partner with Dines, Ross & O'Keefe in Chicago. Dines, Homer Duncan 1877-1959 Who Was Who in America. A component of "Who's Who in American History." Volume 3, 1951-1960. Chicago: Marquis Who's Who, 1966. (WhAm 3) Several Revolutionary War Patriots were in Homer Dines' lineage, including John Alexander of Virginia, wo fought at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse with General Nathanael Greene. Other Revolutionary Patriots who rendered service to the cause included Peter Gearhart and Sanford Ramey Connelly. Homer and his wife, May Dickson, had two children: Ralph and Helen, and five grandchildren: William, Richard and Barbara Dines, and James and Robert Scott. Homer's grandsons, James and Robert Scott, are members of the Sons of the American Revolution.
