Shirley Baker Stafford- wife, Children are Melinda and Scott Knight,Jeff and Kelly Stafford. 7 grandchildren.
Passed away at home, July 21, 2011, surrounded by his family and friends, after a year long battle with cancer. His soul is now in Heaven, with the Holy Spirit, God and God's son Jesus Christ. Bob was born November 6, 1940, in Battle Creek, the only son of Clarence R. and Helen (Inks) Weaver. Bob attended Battle Creek Central High School. He worked for Schneider Transport as a driver. Bob retired from Shepard Products in 2006. On September 18, 1969, he married Shirley Ann (Baker) Stafford, who survives. Bob is also survived by children: Melinda (Stafford) and Scott Knight of Dowling, Jeff and Kelly Stafford of Ada, Sherri Weaver of Battle Creek, Bob and Julie Weaver Jr. of Burlington, MI, David and Kim Weaver of Battle Creek, and Tami (Weaver) and David Yeric of Delton, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a step-sister Gloria (Russell) McNealy of Illinois, and a half sister Linda (Richard) Putnam of Central Lake, MI. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Bob enjoyed classic cars, car shows, and loved fifties music. He enjoyed working with wood and building things, and puttering in his garage. Bob was a kind, gentle, loving person, who had many special friends, who he loved like family. He enjoyed laughing and telling stories with friends and family. The family will receive friends Sunday, 2;00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, in Delton. Bob's funeral service will be conducted, Monday, July 25, 2011, 11:00 AM, at Hickory Corners Bible Church, with Pastor Jeff Worden, and Gregg Hale, officiating. Burial will take place in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in Bob's memory will be appreciated.
