Roger E. Alff, age 62, died on Friday, November 21, 1984 in a Madison Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Columbus, WI, May 19, 1924, the son of Arthur and Gertrude (Ibisch) Alff. Roger was a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran. He was married to Betty Wheeler at Columbus, WI on August 30, 1952. He attended the University of California-Berkley and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a Certified Public Accountant. He had spent many years as Director of the Bureau of Municipal Audit. He was a member of both the AICPA and the WICPA and retired from the State of Wisconsin in May of 1986 after 37 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, Michael (Dawn) of Stevens Point and Thomas of Madison; a daughter, Jody (Michael) Rogers of Madison; a grandson, Roff; a stepmother, Amanda Alff of Columbus; a brother, Norman (Doris) Alff of Janesville. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 24, 1986 at 1:30.m. in the Tuschen Funeral Home with the pastor Terry Larson officiating. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Garden. Friends may call at the Tuschen Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. Roger, who was loved and respected by many, will be missed by all. Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor's choice. WSJ 11/23/1986
