William Henry Vanderbilt sr., 79, of Lynxville, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 1963. He was born March 23, 1883 at Lynxville to Steven Henry and Mary (Withey) Vanderbilt. William lived near Lynxville most of his life. He was a barber by trade in Prairie du Chien and La Crosse until ill health necessitated his retirement.
On November 30, 1913 at Lynxville, he married Estella "Stella" Marie Lederman, daughter of Charles and Mary Lederman.
He was survived by his wife, two sons, William jr., and Richard of Lynxville; two daughters, Dorothy (Henry) Noble and Wilma McNutley. He was also survived by a brother, Harry Vanderbilt and two sisters, Mildred Caya and Edna Olson.
