Nonie Aardema, 66, Life-long Resident of City, Dies - Funeral Today at Central Church.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. from Central Reformed church of Sioux Center for Nonie Aardema, 66, who passed away Saturday, April 27, at the Sioux Center Community hospital following a lingering illness.

Services will be held at the Little Chapel immediately preceding church services. The Rev. Harry Brower will officiate. Interment will be made in the Sioux Community cemetery under the direction of Wm. de Bruyn.

Mr. Aardema was born to Charles Aardema and Emma Jansama, February 23, 1891, at Sioux Center. All of his life was spent in the Sioux Center community. On March 7, 1923, he was united in marriage to Grace Groen at Rock Rapids, Iowa, and to this union three sons were born.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Clarence and Lee, both of Grand Rapids, Mich., and John at home; three grandchildren; five brothers, Nick of Sioux Center, John of Bellflower, Calif.. Onie of Zeeland, Mich., Simon of Boon, and Charles of Hull; two sisters, Tillie, Mrs. Datus Salies, of Boyden, and Anna, Mrs. Mike Vos, of Hardwick, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, who died in 1936, and two sisters, Bertha, Mrs. John Landhuis, who died in 1933, and Emma who died in 1907 at the age of three years. Mr. Aardema was a mason by trade, was a member of the American Legion and attended Central Reformed church.
