William L. Danley

William L. Danley, 64, of Clarkstown Road, Muncy, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 in Hornby, N.Y., from injuries sustained in a truck accident on Route 414.

Born Dec. 3, 1942 in Lycoming County, he was the son of the late James Danley and Mae (Houser) Danley Taggert. On June 28, 1961 he married the former Patsy A. Travelpiece and they have celebrated nearly 46 years of marriage.

A truck driver for over 40 years, he was currently driving for Mark Updegraff Trucking. He had also driven for Woolever Brothers and earlier in his life for Walter Smith Trucking of Muncy.

He was a member of the Muncy Valley Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #866, Hughesville and loved camping with his family over the years.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, William L. Danley Jr. and his companion, Bobbi Turner and Wade L. Danley and his wife Sharon, all of Muncy; a daughter, Wenda L. Meyers and her husband Donald of Chesapeake, Va.; five grandchildren and a sister, Roseanne (Vern) Statts, Hughesville.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville with the Rev. Max L. Walters, Jr of Lairdsville Faith Church officiating. Burial will follow in White Hall Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The family suggests contributions in his memory may be made to Muncy Valley Moose Lodge #866, C/O Barry Sones, 875 State Route 405, Hughesville, PA 17737.
