OBIT: DETROIT NEWS HERALD 2 Feb 1933 from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: Mrs. Drew Allen, 48, died at her home in Bogata Saturday just after noon. Mrs. Allen was child of J. H. Ellis, who formerly lived in Detroit. Besides her husband she is survived by 3 children.,

OBIT: DEPORT TIMES 3 Feb 1933, Friday, from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: Bogata News -- Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ for Mrs. Drew Allen who passed away Saturday morning after an illness of nine days with pneumonia. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. G. Malfers, Christian minister of Clyde, with Rev. C. C. Childress pastor of the Methodist church, assisting. Burial was in Highland cemetery, Deport. Lena Rebecca Ellis was born Aug. 21, 1886 in Mississippi and came with her parents to Texas in 1892. She was married to Drew Allen Dec. 1904. Five children were born to the union, three of whom survive: Gilbert Allen of Minter, Mrs. Louise Parks of Independence and Miss Paulie Allen of Bogata. Her husband also survives with her father, J. H. Ellis of Fort Towson, Ok., her brothers, A. B. Ellis of Fort Towson, Victor, Leon and Bob of Fort Worth and one sister, Mrs. Martha Martin of Dallas. The sympathy of Bogata community is extended the bereaved who mourn the passing of this good woman.
