H. C. Erwin, husband of Lucille Erwin.

No obituary in The Gadsden Times.
Per census records: Henry C. Erwin was a son of Benjamin F. and Mary Erwin who lived in Calhoun Co., AL in 1880. The 1920 census listed Henry C. Erwin and Lucille, with children John, Henry T., Rosa, Ollie, Joe and Dovie L. Erwin. After Lucille died in 1925 and Henry in 1930, their son, Henry Thomas "Tom", had married and his brothers, Ollie and Joe, and sister, Dovie L. were living with his family in Blue Mountain, Calhoun Co., AL. John was a grandson living with a Powell family in Piedmont, AL.

It was told to the submitter of this memorial that in the summer of 2008, two gentlemen - one from Piedmont and one from Georgia - came to Pilgrims Rest Cemetery to locate their parent's graves (or perhaps grandparents graves.) The Erwin stone is a flat marker under the big tree - near Smith Road to the left of the Crowe family tombstones.
