Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Haverly Chapel for Mrs. Charlie McIntire, who died at 9 pm Sunday at the Stancomb Nursing Home near Bedford. She had been admitted there May 18 following a long illness.
Mr. and Mrs. McIntire had lived two miles east of Mitchell on a farm for 23 years, but they spent most their married life on a farm in Bono township.
Mrs. McIntire was Miss Mamie Belle Brown before her marriage December 24, 1899. She was born near Leipsic October 13, 1875 to John and Delilah Maudlin Brown. She was a member of the Fishing Creek Christian Church.
The husband survives with one granddaughter, Miss Patricia Sue Chastain, of Jeffersonville, and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Leland Plew, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated at the funeral, and burial was in Mitchell Cemetery.
