He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City.
Also, he was a state boxing champion for four years in a row for the Plaquemine Green Devils. He was also S.L.U. champion and champion of the entire South Pacific Area while in the Navy.
A Mass of Christian Burial was recited at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City, and burial in Morgan City Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, seven brothers, three sisters and by his wife, Sophie Pearce Ourso.
