She married James Stevenson on July 13, 1782. They immigrated to America in 1790, in Chester County, Pennsylvania. They lived there and in Westmoreland County until 1789, when they made their final move to Salem Township, Mercer County, PA. Jane and James had 3 children born while they lived in Ireland (James, William, and Mary). Three more children were born in the US; Elizabeth was born in Chester County, PA, and sons John and Findley, born in Mercer County. John was the first male child born in Mercer county, on Christmas day 1800.
James died March 5, 1813, and Jane died August 16, 1847, at the age of eighty-seven. Both are buried in the Stevenson Cemetery, Mercer County, PA.
