Zelma E Lavey
Zelma E. Lavey, age 93 of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. Zelma was born in Miami County on September 2, 1917 to the (late) Edgar L.
& Ruth Matilda (Shawver) Miller; retired from Goodrich, Troy with 13 years of service; and was a member of the Greenville Creek Christian Church. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, John M. Lavey in 1963; infant daughter, Loretta Lavey; son, Dean Lavey; daughter-in-law, Joy Lavey; grandson, Larry Michael "Duck" Lavey; two great-granddaughters, Rachel Maxwell & Ariel Lavey; and brother, Lester Miller. Zelma is survived by her son, Larry Edgar Lavey of Pleasant Hill; daughter-in-law, Nadine Lavey of Bradford; five grandchildren, Pamela & Ed Maxwell of Bradford, Lori Smith of Bradford, Paula & Carl Hoeflich of Bradford, Beverly & Hal Kauffman of Houston, John & Michelle Lavey of Bradford; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 Friday at the Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Daryl Peeples officiating. Interment Harris Creek
Cemetery, Bradford. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

She goes back to Gertrude Kreider (1815-1887) and John Miller (1807-1891(goes back to Johann Mueller) and the Maurer/Deeter families. On
Zelma' mother's parents John Shawver and Emma Hardman (if anybody knows the Hardman/Hartman line please email me), which Johns mother was Harriet Peterseim Shawver (1846-1922). Zelma's deceased husband goes back to Lydia Ditmer Lavey Dickensheets (1887-1978), who is grandaughter of Rev. Tobias Kreider (1826-1902).......................................
