Much of the information about Eleanor Williams Sanders was recorded in her husband's Bible.

She was not enumerated on the old cemetery survey done in the 1980's but burial site of Medline Cemetery found in data in a unsourced file from Houston County Historical Commission, Crockett, Texas. Another researcher said Joe and his wife's graves were deep in the near-by woods and were unmarked for years. Recently new grave markers were added to document Joe Sanders' and his wives graves.

1. Mary Elizabeth SANDERS b: 29 SEP 1835 married James Ervin than Ben Sims. Burial sites unknown on all. Ellen Gassett states Ben Sims is buried in Medline Cemetery in unmarked grave.


2. Joseph SANDERS Jr.b. 28 DEC 1843 d.15 FEB 1857 Burial site not documented as Medline Cemetery but should be there.

3. George Washington Sanders b.05 JUN 1846, married Martha, unknown burial or death dates on both. In the 1870 Federal Census of AL, Perry County, Heards Beat, George is living his married brother Benjamin and his parents.

4. Hirman Newton Sanders b.02 APR 1850 married Susan Gay and no other dates or burial sites known. Susan was the sister of Fernando Gay, who married Hirman's sister Margaret.

5. Elizabeth Sanders born 1856 ...nothing else known.


Eleanor's parents were Benjamin Williams b 15 August 1784 NC and died after 11 July 1860; Elizabeth Nellie Lee b 1774 or about in NC died 1823 in AL. Elizabeth Lee's father was Ricard Lee, Revolutionary War Patriot of NC and her mother was Nellie Little.

Sylvia Little Williams Price b. 1825 in AL, married William Price Dec 14m 1844 in AL, migrated to Union Parish, LA, had 2 sons and 2 daughters, died after daughter Melisa born in 1857 and the 1860 Federal Census, her sisters raised her children.
