"HANCOCK - Lloyd C. Bishop Sr., 63, of Rice Road, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at his home. Born Nov. 1, 1940, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Chester and Isabelle Ray Bishop. He owned and operated his own truck and was employed by Greentree Trucking Inc. in Pittsburgh. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Hancock. He was a member of James W. Bowers Lodge 173 AF&AM of Hancock, Ali Ghan Shrine and Railroad Unit of Cumberland, Md. He was a member of Teamsters Local 992 of Hagerstown and Teamsters Local 249 of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Johnson Bishop, whom he married Dec. 29, 1959; one daughter, Debbie J. Unger of Cumberland; three sons, Lloyd C. Bishop Jr. of Needmore, Pa., and Kenneth E. Unger and Gregory J. Bishop, both of Hancock; three sisters, Velma Mann of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Geraldine Shives and Eileen Swain, both of Hancock; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home in Hancock. The Rev. Edward James will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home, where a Masonic Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. by James W. Bowers Lodge 173 AF&AM of Hancock."
