Hubert served in the U.S. Air Force. He had a distinguished career as an aircraft mechanic for Lockheed Aircraft, and worked on the SR-71 Spy-plane.

Hubert passed away after a prolonged illness.

Hubert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Skinner and daughter, Valerie Skinner. He leaves behind two daughters, Sandra Crocker-Fooshee of Myrtle Creek, Oregon. Nina Rodell and her husband, Michael of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Evan and Andy Crocker; Jordan and Benjamin Lief; Victoria Ostroff and her husband, Matt; great-grandchildren, Mia Crocker; Juniper Crocker and George Lief.
